It can be extremely difficult to diagnose a chimney problem when you can’t see in the chimney.

In the past, you would have had to knock multiple holes into the chimney, which is very messy, to create limited points of access with no guarantee of finding the cause.

There are various reasons and circumstances in which you may want to consider a CCTV Chimney inspection:

• Your flue functions poorly or fails an integrity test.

• You have suffered a chimney fire - you may have flue damage, which can be dangerous to your home.

• You are thinking about buying a property or have recently bought it. Find out if your new chimney is safe to use, or what improvements must be made.

• You have had repair work carried out on your chimney and want to ensure all the issues have been properly fixed.

• Your chimney has a blockage.

• You have decided to reinstate an old chimney.

When buying a new property a key selling point can be the beautiful stove that is sat, pride of place, in your new living room ready for cosy nights in.

However, it is always wise to have a chimney inspection by a qualified professional to make sure the appliance you have inherited has been fitted correctly and is in safe working order.

Our homeowner's safety inspection service includes:

• Initial visual inspection of the installation to ensure it meets the current regulations (The building regulations approved document J) and relevant standards.

• Inspection and examination of the appliance and the parts within the appliance.

• CCTV camera inspection of the flue to check the condition and any possible defects.

• A full sweep of the chimney.

• A flue smoke draw test.

• Professional advice on how to light and use the appliance efficiently and safely, including correct fuels and storage.
   

On completion, we will issue a certificate of inspection which will show the results of the checks carried out on the appliance, any safety issues identified during the inspection and action or remedial work required to meet current regulations.

UPGRADE: To include a full Stove service for an additional £80
