Bird-nest removal · £150 first hour

Removal of old, inactive nest material from suitable chimneys, with additional time charged at £30 per hour.

Active nests cannot be removed. Wild birds and nests in use or being built are legally protected. Work must wait until the nest is no longer active unless a lawful licence applies. View government guidance.

How do I know whether the chimney is lined?

Send photographs of the appliance, fireplace and any visible flue components. We’ll ask for further information if needed before confirming the service.

Does a chimney sweep include a full stove service?

No. A sweep cleans the flue. Choose the £159 Premium Sweep & Stove Service when the appliance itself also needs stripping, cleaning and maintaining.

Can you inspect the chimney with a camera?

Yes. Sweep and CCTV starts at £169 for a lined chimney and £199 for an unlined chimney or open fire.

Will there be any mess?

The area is prepared carefully and professional equipment is used to contain soot and dust. Conditions vary, but protecting and respecting your home is central to the service.

Do I receive a sweeping certificate?

A record of the completed chimney-sweeping service is provided for your files, subject to the service and findings.

Can you remove a bird’s nest?

Old inactive nest material can often be removed. An active nest cannot be destroyed or removed; work must be postponed or handled under any applicable lawful licensing route.
